MIKE BACILE UPRIGHT BASS
Mike Bacile grew up in New Jersey. Mike is a very experienced Upright Jazz Bazz player who has performed East coast tours with revues including Tiny Tim, the Coasters Drifters and the Marvelettes emceed by George Savalas. He moved to Detroit in 1974 and was involved with the Oakland University Jazz Program under Marvin "Doc" Holliday . He had the opportunity to work with Sonny Stitt and Ernestine Anderson along with players associated with Motown records, notably Teddy Harris and George Davidson from the Supremes band. Mike then moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1984 working with the best of the bay area in various venues. Mike is very excited to be a part of Jazzmatazz's solid rythm section.
